It is a gift for a culinary school student. She picked it out so I don't know how well she likes it yet. Have several other kitchen aid products and love them.

I purchased the imersion blender to replace my old Betty Crocker immersion blender that I have had for about 15 years. The reason I replaced it was that the Contour, allows the blades to be cleaned seperately from the motor and the old immersion blender was hard to clean. I have only used the new blender once, but it worked well. My only issue is that the sleek design makes it difficult to take the blades off the motor. If you have any problems with hand strength, this may make the product less desirable.
