Low maintenance oven wonder.

We had been looking at dutch ovens for quite a while and I stumbled on this. I'm glad I did. It's large enough to handle a whole stuffed chicken and vegetables without running over the top. The design makes it very balanced and easy to manage even when fully stocked, and cleaning it is no major chore either. It will do most of the functions we were looking for in a Dutch but much lighter and easier to handle. Truly a great product!

Great for casseroles. Very easy to handle and move in and out of oven. Was smaller than expected - not large enough for a family size roast with vegetables.

I love RR products and have been looking at this beautiful casserole dish for a while. It think it is pricey at full price, but I bought it on sale and that is the basis for my affirmative answer to the "Do you think this product is a good value for the price?" question. I bought one for me and one for my daughter-in-law. We are both building a RR collection. The casserole came perfectly packed, no problems with breakage. The shipping time was less than expected. All in all, I am extremely satisfied with the service. The day the dish came, I ran it through the dishwasher and then put it away in my (wooden) kitchen display cabinet. A week later when I removed the casserole from the cabinet, I noticed a dark oval of mold covering the area where the casserole bottom met the wood shelf. I then removed the Bubble and Brown casseroles on an adjoining shelf and found the same thing. It appears that even after going through the full dry cycle of the dishwasher, the porous bottoms of the beautifully glazed dishes must still retain enough moisture to cause mold to form. This certainly will not keep me from gathering more and more RR casserole dishes, I am just now aware of the problem and plan to put a sheet of latticed, raised rubber shelf liner down to prevent further problems. In the mean time, I ensure that the dishes are completely dry by putting them in a 250 degree oven for 1/2 an hour before putting them away. Don't let this keep you from buying this product....just be aware of the potential for moisture retention. I imagine if you hand wash the item and let them dry overnight in the drainboard, this might not happen. I think the steam of the dishwasher is what "gets into" the porous bottoms. As for the dish itself, these casseroles are so versatile. They cook evenly; can go from oven to table because they are so attractive; clean up is a snap, either by hand or in the dishwasher. There is nothing negative to say about these dishes other than be sure the bottom is COMPLETELY dry.

Love this piece. Always nice to be able to bake and serve in the same dish...less clean up.

I couldn't wait to use it. It cooked very well and I'm very happy I picked it up. The handles are exactly what I needed. It also looks very nice on the table for serving.

Lovely piece

We have the other pieces in this set. My wife wanted to have this one for her birthday. She is thrilled with it.

The lid does not fit very well unless you place it on the casseroval just right. So, I took $10 off the value for that mishap. Other wise I love it. I am going to make lasagnas and pot pies in my casseroval.

The White Casseroval Dish is the best

I have been using it for many items. I just served a casserole in it last night. It is attractive and it cooks the food perfect. This is just great!

Very Nice but.....

When I received this casseroval I was so excited. I needed a casserole dish desperately. However, when I took it out of the box the lid was scratched. Deep enough that I could not scrub the black mark off. It was on the handle and small enough that I just didn't send it back. Also the lid does not fit tightly so I cover the dish in aluminium foil if I need a tighter seal. The dish in all is very nice, heavy, and I love the handles.
