I've always had a blender, never a food processor.

Having a blender and food processor in one is a great convenience.

The food processor has all the basic features of a much larger model, and is just the right size for the two of us. I put it to use immediately, preparing about a half-dozen meals for our slow cooker, and it made short work of all the chopping.

I am very pleased with this purchase.

I also ordered the 14-cup food processor. I think we'll give it to my son as a gift. Now that I've started using the small model, I think it's all I will required for just the two of us.

Terrific Product for couples

Very nice product and perfect for a couple or small family. Both blender and food processor units are durable, easy to clean and powerful. Great for morning power smoothies and food prep for medium size meals (4-6 people)

My favorite blender!

I put off buying this product because of the review that said it was so loud. Wow, do I regret that. This blender isn't any louder than others on the market, and it makes slushy drinks like nothing else. The ice crush abilities are the best of any blender I've owned to date.

It's very easy to remove and reset the pitcher, and the lid snaps on securely, but isn't a pain to remove when it's time to pour the drinks.

The food processor parts are simple to assemble and clean.

All in all, this is one of my best small appliance purchases ever. I wish I hadn't spent the time looking for a different blender due to that one bad review. Yes, it's loud, but it isn't any louder than other blenders.

Very Disappointed

I was excited to find a multiuse mixer/blender from a well known name company. But after using both the mixer and food proccessor twice each I have come to the conclusion that it is under powered and overrated. Not worth the time or effort!

Pros - great look, easy to clean, good capacity blender.
I received this gift from a friend of mine and I have to say that I love this blender. I have been using it everyday to make protein drinks, adding different fruits to it and some milk and within seconds, it is done.
The only con I have found with this blender is that it is a bit on the noisy side, but when it only takes a minute or less to blend anything... I certainly can handle the noise for that short a time.
Very happy with it.

Does everything from milk shakes to chopping to mixing to blending. Plenty of power, and easy clean-up. I love it!

Great Blender

I recently purchased this blender as a replacement blender. The ease of cleaning and the compactness of 2 tools in one is great! Flat control panel is much easier to clean than the old fashioned buttons, that never really got clean. Chops and blends beautifully. I haven't had the chance to use the mini prepper yet, but expect it to work great.

I bought this blender mostly for making smoothies and other iced drinks. It easily chops through ice and frozen fruits. This is the best blender I've ever owned! I liked that it also came with the food processor attachment. I'm old fashioned in the way that I general chop and slice everything by hand, but there are occasions where I'd like to have a food processor. This was a perfect product for me since it has both, all for one reasonable price!

I'm pleased with this appliance, especially as it has two purposes. Storage is always a problem and this simplifies things. I've used both the blender and food processor functions and both work well.

Best Appliance in My Kitchen

I had to replace my 25 year old blender but wanted one that was powerful and dependable. This appliance exceeds my expectations. I haven't used the food processor attachment yet but the blender itself has more than fulfilled my needs. I had already compared prices at major stores, but the price and quality at the food network store was far better. Cheap looking

The model looks great however i was very disappointed when I opened up the box and saw the cheap silver plastic. If I had to choose again I would choose the white model for the same price.

Does a great job on what I need it for. Great features and options. Small countertop footprint is a plus also.

The blender is beautiful, but I was a little disappointed that the frame is not real steel. The food processesor option is nice, but the blending action does not surpass any other blender. If anything, the looks are better than the actual action of the blender. It's similar to a beautiful pair of shoes . . . beautiful, but not very functional.

Have wanted a Cuisinart food processor for a long time. My old blender finally bit the dust. We were perusing Cooking.com for a replacement and came upon the Duet. What a blessing. Now I have replaced my blender and have a Cuisinart blender AND food processor - all in one. I've put them to the test (sometimes forgetting I have this wonderful option) and am thrilled. Easy to clean! And use. Of course, I've had to practice, with pleasure. Thank you!

It works very well as a residential blender and the food processor is fine for small batches. You must pre-chop your food into 1 inch cubes, or at least all similar sizes and do not overload the machine. I'm using it to make baby food while visiting the grandparents. Occasionally, some chunks are not fully processed - probably because I'm stuffing it too full. If you have a large family and this will be your main food processor which you use frequently it probably will not be large enough for your needs. If you occasionally need to chop, blend, grate stuff and don't use a food processor regularly this will be perfect. It is also very good for small batches of baby foods. It is easy to clean. I have a large Cuisinart food processor at home which I'm also very happy with and have had for over a year with daily use and it works great. Cuisinart makes good products that last.

keep the box

I love my 27 year old cuisinart food processor and my 1st cuisinart blender. So I thought the concept of the duet was perfect for me since I sometimes need a processor that's smaller than the regular but bigger than the wand chopper.... I had my husband "give" this to me for an anniversary gift. As reviews had warned me the blender was EXTREMELY loud but it worked well so my husband threw away the box and the warranty info. As it happened I didn't use the processor for about a year, when I did it screeched so loudly I never used it again. Since that time the blender got progressively noisier and started putting out black residue...
I'm in the process of returning it for credit...

Great kitchen workhorse

When my old blender died, I was looking for something that could do double duty between my morning smoothies for breakfast and my yen for adventurous cooking projects. This blender handles the smoothies pretty well. Could use more wattage but it definitely can handle the ice and frozen fruit crushing. The food processor did a great job grating onion and shredding potatoes for latkes (potato pancakes) for Hanukkah. For the price Cooking.com offered this appliance for, it is definitely a good deal.
