Blender use only

by Tim, MN

Recently purchased this product, but have yet to use the processor. I love the way it chips up ice! It's well built, not some phony little plastic thing. Very satisfied.

used blender?

by Margaret, AZ
April 9, 2012

I am wondering if this is a reconditioned blender because one of the packing boxes inside the box with the pictures on it had been torn and mended with tape. I also feel the blender is too noisy for a new blender.

Love this blender!

by Jessica, NY
March 15, 2012

I use the blender every day - it's powerful enough to break up ice and fruit so there are no chunks in smoothies. I use the food processor less because I don't have as much of a need but living in a small NYC apartment it's nice that there is one base with the two attachments. It's the perfect size for one or two people.

Received the order in a timely fashion. Will wait to see if operates longer than the exact same product before. Last time the motor burnt within 3 months doing mayonnaise and cream.

Blender/processor combo

by Anne, OH
June 7, 2011

I really like this machine! I have been wanting a food processor for a while now and was unable to afford one. Then, I was browsing the Food Network store and came across this food processor / blender combo. It was a great price and it has fulfilled every expectation I had about it.

I haven't had the chance to use my blender yet, but the food processor attachment is great. I look forward to using it more in the future.

I really like this machine. It's easy to use, sturdy and the features are very nice. It's a good combo too - this way I don't need 2 appliances because the blender is included. I highly recommend this product.

FINALLY!

by Tawana, WI
December 20, 2010

I love my new blender! I've gone through too many cheaper brands over the years and am looking forward to using this one and having it for years to come! It will get use too--maybe not real heavy duty use often (but some!) but will definitely be using the ice crusher! This is so worth the money and the Cuisinart name--I think I got a real deal!

So far so great!

by Anastasiya , WA

I've had this product for a few weeks now, and it's working very well. It's small size is just right for a household of two. I love that the blender is heavy duty glass, which makes me comfortable when crushing ice and heavily frozen fruits. The food processor works very well! I have been having a blast making pesto, hummus and other spreads since purchasing the product. Chopping and grating has gone from a 15-30 minute pret to just a few seconds with this awesome tool! I have noticed that underneath the blender, the motor seems to be releasing some very fine black powder, which cannot come into contact with the actual food within the container, but I suppose this is not a great sign. It has not effected the power or performance of the unit, but I wonder what it means about the quality of the motor. It seems to have decreased, so I'm hoping it was just some residue from manufacturing which will disappear. Overall, I'm very happy with the very useful product for such a great price. I could never have purchased two separate unit for this low cost!

keep the box

by Caroline, WA
March 1, 2010

I love my 27 year old cuisinart food processor and my 1st cuisinart blender. So I thought the concept of the duet was perfect for me since I sometimes need a processor that's smaller than the regular but bigger than the wand chopper.... I had my husband "give" this to me for an anniversary gift. As reviews had warned me the blender was EXTREMELY loud but it worked well so my husband threw away the box and the warranty info. As it happened I didn't use the processor for about a year, when I did it screeched so loudly I never used it again. Since that time the blender got progressively noisier and started putting out black residue...
I'm in the process of returning it for credit...

Great kitchen workhorse

by Jeff, DC
January 3, 2010

When my old blender died, I was looking for something that could do double duty between my morning smoothies for breakfast and my yen for adventurous cooking projects. This blender handles the smoothies pretty well. Could use more wattage but it definitely can handle the ice and frozen fruit crushing. The food processor did a great job grating onion and shredding potatoes for latkes (potato pancakes) for Hanukkah. For the price Cooking.com offered this appliance for, it is definitely a good deal.

Cheap looking

The model looks great however i was very disappointed when I opened up the box and saw the cheap silver plastic. If I had to choose again I would choose the white model for the same price.

Very nice product and perfect for a couple or small family. Both blender and food processor units are durable, easy to clean and powerful. Great for morning power smoothies and food prep for medium size meals (4-6 people)

Blender/Food Processor

by Raymond, GA

No complaints but a larger Food Processor may have been easier to use, but this unit works just fine.

I've always had a blender, never a food processor.

Having a blender and food processor in one is a great convenience.

The food processor has all the basic features of a much larger model, and is just the right size for the two of us. I put it to use immediately, preparing about a half-dozen meals for our slow cooker, and it made short work of all the chopping.

I am very pleased with this purchase.

I also ordered the 14-cup food processor. I think we'll give it to my son as a gift. Now that I've started using the small model, I think it's all I will required for just the two of us.
