Salty review

Bought the 'Mill,' to grind clean rock salt into: 1. fine table salt. 2. Course cooking salt. 3 Very course pretzel salt. The bottom line? It works. And with the ceramic grinding mill, I don't have to be concerned about the metal-salt interaction I had experienced with other mills. Will be purchasing others soon (when discretionary funds are replaced,) to grind whole mustard seed, whole celery seed. as well as other spices.

Buy two and have a 'set.'

Purchased the product to grind my tri-color peppercorn mix. It works! Can adjust the grind from very fine to very course. The black and white set (white color offered elsewhere,) make a real fine salt-&-pepper set. Will be purchasing others soon (when discretionary funds are replaced,) to grind whole mustard seed, whole celery seed. as well as other spices.

So far...it's a little hard to use. You feel like it may crack when you turn it. It should be a little easier to turn. I think the cost is a bit high. The only reason I wanted them was to keep pepper off my counter, table, etc. and the little clear plastic cup...is hardly a high cost item.

It's kind of pricey but works well.

Great peppermill! Fun to use and can measure the amount by how may turns you use.

I bought this for my husband -- we've probably purchased 10 peppermills over the last 18 years. He is thrilled with it. He says it is by far the best peppermill he's ever used. To quote him, "I've been looking for this peppermill all my life!"

Best peppermill

After having seen it on the foodnetwork I decided to give it a try. After giving it a try I decided this is the best mill I have ever used and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a hard working peppermill. The price is very reasonable.

A little too expensive

My S/O and I have watched Paula Deen forever and have visited Savannah a couple of times to learn of the city's history as well as eat some of "The Lady and Son's" food. EXCELLENT!! When we watch Paula on her cooking show, she has used a pepper mill that looks functional and practical. We decided to order one and it is OK, but not really anymore than plastic and will probably not last long at our house. We use a lot of pepper, so we will see. It is a little expensive but if it holds up for a while, I suppose it may be more practical.

EASE OF USE

THIS PEPPER GRINDER IS SO EASY TO USE, ESP. WITH ARTRITIS IN MY HANDS SOME. WHEN I AM COOKING IT IS FAST TO GET THE PEPPER GROUND UP. THANKS FOR HAVING A GREAT PRODUCT.

Great product

I purchased one for myself and an arthritic relative. We are both very impressed. It has a very wide range from coarse to very fine and works great with the variety of peppercorns that we use.

Pepper Mill

I like the pepper mill and am pleased with it but I do think it was a bit pricey. lk

It's just "okay" !

I watched Paula Deen and the Barefoot Contessa use this product. I thought it was great that you can grind as much pepper into the cup that you need for your recipes. Even though it works well, it's not as sturdy as my other grinders. I think this product is a bit pricey. If I had to do over again, I would take a pass.

Finally, a pepper mill that I love!

I have had several pepper mills in my life time and this is the only one I would recommend. I love it. I've seen it on Barefoot Contessa and thought about ordering it for a long time. My only regret is that I waited so long. Don't be like me, order it now, you won't regret it.

It broke after only two weeks…

I loved it—for about two weeks. Then the mechanism that adjusts the size of the grind broke and now it is stuck on the finest grind.

Finally a pepper mill that works...

I LOVE FRESH PEPPER AND THIS PEPPER MILL REALLY WORKS. I JUST WISH IT COULD HAVE BEEN A LITTLE CHEAPER. IF IT WAS, I WOULD GET ONE FOR ALL OF MY PEPPER EATING FAMILY AND FRIENDS.

Bottom needs to be more secure.

I am happy with the pepper mill. My only complaint is that the bottom could be a bit more secure -- it has dropped off once loaded with ground pepper. I now hold onto the bottom even though the instructions say not to. Being able to grind a large amount into a clear base and measure it out is still worth the slight chance of a spill.

I saw the pepper mill being used by Paula Deen on her tv show and had been looking for it in stores.......to no avail. I really like it. The only thing I find wrong with it is that it's hard to turn if you have even medium length fingernails! I think the price is a bit high for a plastic mill.

Pepper Mill

I have seen Paula Deen and the Barefoot Contessa use this pepper mill and finally ordered one. I love it! Is easy and allows one to determine how fine or coarse the pepper should be ground. Easy to use.

Saw this pepper mill on Paul Deen's show and decided I had to try it. I have tried many different kinds over the years and have never been very pleased with any of them. However, I am happy to say this pepper mill is great! Because it grinds the peppercorns so fine you have to be careful how much you use. But that's not a problem if you pay attention. It's easy to operate and does a terrific job. It was a little expensive for me but I would definitely recommend this to anyone who likes to use peppercorns rather than the already ground pepper in a can!

Best of all peppermills

I have had one of these peppermills for years. When my son lost the bottom of it, I could not find a replacement anywhere. It's the only one I've found that you can easily grind pepper to meaure out for recipes. I'm giving one to all my friends for Christmas.
