I have wanted a Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer for more than 2 years. After talking to friends and other cooking hobbiest, I determined I wanted a mixer that could be a "work horse" in the kitchen. The Professional 600 Stand Mixer seems to fit the bill perfectly. I can double my favorite receipes without fear the motor will not be able to tolerate the load. I am looking forward to using this new kitchen product in my bread making endeavor.
The 6-qt. mixer from KithenAid is an excellent product. It has the power & capacity to make multiple batches of dough at one time. The only problem is that the machine, similar to other models, does not remain stable on the counter when in HIGH power mode.

Love everything about this mixer. It does what it's supposed to do. I've waited for years to get a kitchen aid stand mixer and I'm glad I got the professional 6-qt. model.
The only things I don't like has to do with its heavy-duty nature. The bowl is a little heavy so your arms get tired after scraping it clean. And the mixer is so big it won't fit on my counter straight on; I have to keep it at an angle to keep the base on the counter. The mixer is also so heavy that I get my husband to take it out from the cupboard.
It's worth the money. I've already recommended it to a friend and she's looking into buying one. What took me so long to get one? It is a little heavy, I figure if it ever quits working I can use it as a boat anchor.

Yes | No Report Violation »I bought this item for my fiancee who comes to visit from Canada every 3-4 weeks and spends a couple of weeks with me. She showed me how to make bread dough, slice vegatables, and grind foods with the Kitchenaid machine. I really enjoy my mixer and now make the best Belgan waffle mix and sweet bread dough in the world! I can't wait until I get my pasta attachment!

We bought our first Kitchen Aid Mixer over 15 years ago and it still works like the day we bought it. We decided to upgrade to a stand design for the added capacity and stronger motor for operating many of the attachments that demand more torque. Making pasta using the attachments is very taxing on these motors but the Pro 600 does the job with ease. The power of the Pro 600 simply blew us away. These are amazing machines and they are so versatile everybody should own one. The Pro 600 is a great one whether you are buying your first one or upgrading like we did.

It is doing a fine job as I make all our bread and usually about 12 cups of flour. I like it better than my Exectrolux Assistant.

Although this mixer is still a little messy with the flour, the mixing power and capacity are unbelievable. It has been a joy to use.

Because of the fact that I am moving within the next year or two, I haven't used it yet; but I wanted a unit that would stand up to all of my requests. I want to get back to baking my own bread, as I used to back in the mid 80s, as all of my old neighbors would attest. However, back in the 80s, I had, what was the largest then; and it never let me down. I also have an immersion blender that always performs well. So, I can expect nothing but the same when I use it soon. Sincerely, Bill Nice,West Grove, Pa.

I had to wait six years for it but it was worth the wait (I have always used my mom's at home but as soon as I went away to university I began dreaming of my own - now she is envious of my new one!)
As for the price, I think it is bit expensive, but it is so much better then the cheaper version. I have only used it a couple times, and did have a problem at first, figuring out the hooking the bowl on, but I love it. I definitely would recommend it, if you have the money to spend!

quick bread, and a yeast bread. It worked great.
Exceptional
Works great when you need to double or triple a recipe. Would highly recommend to anyone.

I have been struggling with a handheld since, but I have to say this mixer is revolutionizing my cooking. Egg whites are whipped to fluffiness in minutes. Whipping cream only takes a minute or two. Creaming sugar and butter for cookie dough was done in no time, and mixing in the flour was a cinch! I just love the bowl lift system - it makes it very easy to add a bulky ingredient, then continue mixing. The slow start is good too, but it will not prevent you from getting a flour dusting in your kitchen if you go straight from off to setting 10! I find it a little strange that the speed is marked stir to 10 (stir, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10), but there are actually only 6 possible settings... Cleanup is very easy.
Overall I am very happy, and can see that I will be baking more often and more ambitiously now I have the great tool!
Hi Friends,
The mixer was delivered very timely USPO. It's NOT THE SHADE OF BLUE we thought it would be. We had hoped it would be darker and match our dished, the stencling in the Kitchen and dinning room.
We were replacing the older model 6 Quart we had for 5 years, it smoked and ended it's life just before we ordered the new one.
This sure kneeds bread better than the old one. Kitchen Aid sure has improved the product. The Dough hook works must better also.
Thanks so much,

I have had the Classic Kitchenaid for several years and loved it. I bake often and wanted to upgrade to the Pro 600 mixer so I could make larger quantities of my recipes. I love it and I know it will be used often. We sent the Classic mixer to our daughter and husband so they can enjoy the quality of Kitchenaid.
