7.5-in. Electric Carving Knife Set by H. B.

This item was purchased as a gift for my son's girlfriend--she loves to entertain. I have had one for over the last twenty-five years and it is still working. The price was one of the main reasons for the purchase, the Hamilton Beach name was the second reason (they make quality products), the carving fork that was included was a plus! She had a chance to use it on Christmas day and was so thrilled with the preformance that she even used it to cut the triple-choclate brownies that she made. Now, I'm envious of the sleek engineering of the knife, color, ability and the additional fork! It may be time for me to retire my 25 year-old knife. Thank you. Dolores

Had problems with knife cutting off at intervals during use. Blades are not EASILY ejected when finished slicing.

Works very well and the storage box is a great convenience, but it is extremely difficult to disengage the blades from the base unit for cleaning. The button is very hard to push -- I hold the unit down and use a wooden spoon to slide it enough to release the blades. It may be just this particular unit, but this is a definite drawback.

I especially like this knife because of the great container to keep it.

Gift giving

Beautifully gift boxed and would make great gifts for the men on my christmas list, however I found that the handle was not designed for a smaller hand. A woman would not be able to use this product as affectively as a man. The company could have better designed the handle for a womans hand or specified the weight.

Reliable product

This was purchased to replace my original knife which was also by Hamilton Beach. I used it for 30 years but it vanished during my latest move. It's like having an old friend back.

Nice case to store the fork, blades and handle. Easy to keep clean and no more searching for different parts.

This knife is well balanced and cuts well. The case keeps the parts in place and is easily stored.

Very easy to use and clean

A cut above!

We'll only use this once or twice a year and the price was right. Worked well, looks good and the storage box is great.

Couldn't Find A Cordless

I settled for this due to the price. My old rechargable carving kife died last year. The only other cordless I could find was around $100, no way. This one was a good price and believe me I shopped around. I would recommend it if you don't mind the cord.

I purchased knife to slice brisket. Meat was adequately done and had been refrigerated. Knife did not perform well. I had difficulty in slicing the meat. Found it easier to use a conventional knife. Wish I had spent more and gotten a better quality product...........

As a chef I carve lots of whole beef tenderloins. This knife cut my carving time in 1/2 amd allowed us to easily obtain even slices.

Good Value

This seems to be a good value based on functionality and price. This one does the job well and leaves enogh money for a huge roast to cut.

The knife is excellant for carving turkey, chicken and roasts. Cleanup is a snap.
