I'm sure Jacques Pepin and Julia Child used something fancier, but this little tool is great for the money. Easy to clean, simple to use, it produces quality results. I use this gadget to cut the thinnest possible slices of garlic. Liked it so much, bought some for my daughters. Quality stainless steel and plastic construction.

This a very useful product for slicing garic in nice thin slices which can be used as is or you can then mince the slices easily. I love the fact that I can slice garlic in my soups, vegetables, etc.

With the addition of this little garlic-truffle slicer, I think I've got every single tool in my kitchen that I could possibly want. I didn't realize that it's double-sided - one side being serrated & the other straight-edged. After I figured that out, the garlic slices were perfect! It was easy to use and easy to clean. Not sure what I'll use the serrated side for but it's a terrific little tool and the price was right. I've even bought one as an early Christmas present for a friend. Now for the truffles!
