Great Little Mixer

I just needed a little mixer to take the place of the older one I took to our camper. The big Kitchenaid professional seems overkill at times. This is Great! I love the 7 speeds. The controls, even the beater release are so convenient and easy to use. I love it!

Cuisinart mixer - can't go wrong

Cuisinart mixer disappointing

The one thing I am disappointed in is the start-up speed. The description claimed it started out slowly so as not to splatter the ingredients all over - a very good idea. However, the first time I turned it on, it started out at about speed 3, and all over the floor and counter (and me) went the milk and eggs, a big mess. What it does is start fast, THEN slow down to #1 speed. I believe if I had it to do over I would have paid more attention to some of the earlier reviews which mentioned this problem and chosen a different brand. However, not having time to go to the expense and hassle of of returning the mixer, I decided to make the best of it. I have found that if I start at speed 1, wait for it to go through its speed-up-then-slow-down cycle, then carefully lower it into whatever needs to be mixed, it OK, if not what I expected. A deeper, narrower mixing bowl also might help. Other than that it seems to be a perfectly acceptable mixer.

This is the first good hand mixer I've ever owned. It really does the job and never smells

Hand Mixer

It works very good. It is not to loud and works just like a mixer should.

I love this hand mixer! The slow-start function is a great feature when mixing wet and dry ingredients. The whisk beats egg whites and whips cream equally well, and does it faster than other mixers I've used.

I have a kitchenaid stand mixer and have needed a new hand mixer. I finally was able to get this cuisinart hand mixer. It is great, I am glad that I chose it.

Cuisinart hand mixer

Worked great out of the box. previous reviews warned that slow start feature was confusing. If you put the mixer in the bowl of ingredients and start it it will probably splatter. However it only takes a second or so and the mixer slows to a speed that is good for starting to mix. I like the digital readout, very easy to see what speed you are on. Plenty of power. The auto turbo feature is nice, although I hace used it 3 times and have yet to have it auto start. Overall I'm very satisfied with the product, it is defenitely a step up from my previous hand mixer.

Replacement for previous mixer

I've only used it 3 times since I got it but it did a great job on mashed potatoes, waffles and blueberry muffins. If you don't remember to start it out of the bowl though it will sling flour or sugar all around. I think I'm going to be very pleased with it. My previous mixer still worked but the low speed was way too fast for some things.

Good Hand Mixer

After making a couple cheese cakes, a couple batches of cookies and pancakes, some mousse, and lots of whipped cream I really like this mixer. The lone complaint is that I wish it had a speed or two slower than its current low. But with that said it still works fine and doesn't splatter even with the higher than I'd like start speed. Some day maybe I'll have the money and storage space to get a Kitchen Aid Counter Top mixer. But even then it would be a want not a need, as this little guy has done fine with everything I've asked of it. And it doesn't take up very much storage space when it isn't in use.

Great Mixer

This mixer is great... the slow start feature is most handy in that I no longer have to worry about things splattering all over the counter when I first start mixing. The controls are very easy to use. I love the feature that you can turn off the mixer at any speed without going back down through all the lower speeds and it also resets to the lowest speed when you restart it.

Love the Cuisinart hand mixer!

Very please with this purchase and would definitely recommend it. Was looking to replace an older (put still functioning) hand mixer, but needed something to get through heavier cookie mixtures. Old mixer had the thicker metal beaters, but this has the thinner ones. At first I thought how could the thinner beaters do the job, but am very surprised and pleased how well they whip. I used the guide setting for mashing potatoes and they came out PERFECTLY whipped!! I liked the professional rating it received, all the features (swivel cord, just to name one) and the solid feel it has to it. Love this product!

IT HAS A GREAT RANGE AND VARIETY OF SPEEDS FOR DIFFERENT JOBS, AND IS VERY LIGHT IN WEIGHT.

Beats My Old Sunbeam

I've just used it once, for whp cream.. so far so good. Much faster and more quiet than my 1950's avacado beater.
Just hope my KA stand mixer doesn't get jealous.

This mixer is really great. Starts up slowly so there is less chance of spattering and the multiple speeds really come in handy. And almost best of all, there is no center to the beaters making them super easy to clean! I really love this mixer!
