I like this device. It is great for pureed soups. I hated pouring hot soup into a blender. You have to watch it though it will splatter! I tried a smoothie, but it was very difficult. I think it was because I had frozen fruit and not enough liquid. I will definitely try it again, though. The soup thing made it worth it's weight in gold!

This is the first time I have used a hand blender, and it exceeded my expectations. I haven't tried blending ice with it yet. Instead, I use bits of frozen fresh fruit and skim milk to make a shake. Wow! This product makes trying to develop healthier eating habits fun. :o) And it's a breeze to clean . . . unlike my new juicer.

i've been using this hand blender for a couple of months now and it's wonderful. It's fast and efficient at getting practically anything blended. I mainly use it to make quick shakes and it blends everything nicely-no lumps (like when i used to use my blender) is ever left back. I especially like the stainless steel emersing part-don't have to worry about any chemicals from plastic materials leaching out.
I enjoy the ease of use and easy cleanup-very good purchase.

Answered my prayers

When I was preparing for gastric bypass surgery and knew protein shakes were going to be on my post-operative menu, I looked for one of these to make that the powder and liquid mixed well and the ice crushed well. I couldn't have asked for a better blender. It's made the shakes and drinks blends so much better and made it easier to stand the texture of what I dreaded drinking. Would recommend this to anyone.

White Hand Blender by Cuisinart

I have never had a hand blender before and now will never be without one. This is the handiest little gadget I have ever had. It is easy to grab for small jobs instead of getting out the large blender and is just as efficient. It is even better than advertised. Easy to clean and store. Can't say enough about how satisfied I am.

This hand blender is easy to use and easy to clean. I pureed an entire pot of soup in less time than it would have taken to assemble my conventional, multi-piece food processor. The big food processor may wind up in a garage sale.

its a good product but i feel limited as to what it can be used for. i have many appliances
and i use all of them frequently,so i feel it is worth what i paid for it.with this i feel i
dont get enough use out of it to make it worth the price.

I know the recommendations say that you should not use whole frozen strawberries but I wanted to see what this blender had for power--I was impressed that it cut right through and made an excellent strawberry shake. I have found myself finding ways to use it--it is quick and the cleanup is even quicker.
Just make sure your container is large enough and that there is room to blend without spatter.

finally i can givet away the blender. Smartstick has wonderfully made my smoothies, and no mess now when i puree a soup, will be making turnip and pear puree today as a test for thanksgiving, very very easy to clean and very very sharp. and it takes up so little space.

A Good Buy !

Was skeptical but saw that so many people liked it, I bought abunch for my family Christmas gifts. And one for myself :) Opened mine when I got them and used it on a soup I made - WOW. Had to back off quickly because it was so powerful. Need to take some soup out and put it in the cup it comes with to do that. I almost had puree of soup (not intended)!!
Great buy for the price. VERY sharp - be very careful cleaning it!

A friend had given me one of these blenders, which I
really enjoy. It greatly simplifies puree-ing soups
instead of transferring them, one portion at a time, to a countertop blender. I gave my friend one for a late
Christmas present to thank her for getting me a
safer and saner way to prepare some of my favorite
foods and drinks. It is easy to use, easy to clean, relatively quiet and easy to store.

This hand blender was purchased because even with the delivery charge...it was a far better value purchasing it at FoodNetwork store online than any of the sale prices at department stores. In addition to that...it turns out to be the best little kitchen helper you could have! Soups, to frothy creams, to you name gravies...it can help make a plain old dinner something wonderful! It blends great smoothies and gives potatoes that aerated feeling like it had gone through a ricer...that makes them fluffier, no lumps and I wind up not using so much butter as I used to! What a blessing to have this Cuisinart Hand Blender as part of my kitchen supplies. Try it for yourselves...you won't be sorry!

I already returned the product on May 1,2012 and you should receive it within a few days. The product did not live up to the expectations I had of it. It would not even blend frozen blueberries in a smoothie.
