I received my jars and opened them 9/11 for the first time so I could process some tomatoes. I have always used Ball jars and have never had an issue with them breaking or anything until last night. One of the jars was actually chipped along the top. I do not know if this was a manufacturing defect or a shipping issue but it will not deter me from purchasing more Ball canning jars as they are the best I have found and I love them!

we need more company's to make good products that proud americans make! I will buy more jars from the ball company. I hope you all start making the canners and other equipment for canning in the usa!

I had regular jelly jars for my jam but used these to differentiate the pepper jelly. My friends liked the size to make store homemade sugar scrub as well.

It isn't often that we need a canning jar this small but it is wonderful to have this option for the times when we do. It is a beautiful jar, and perfect when gifting to singles or older couples or for unique canning items that are best served in small containers. All sealed nicely the first time, and look great.
