Bright nylon, high-tech silicone or shiny stainless steel utensils are great, but there is something comfortable about mixing classic recipe ingredients with a solid, traditional tool like the Calphalon Large Wooden Spoon. Like old-style wooden spoons, it's perfect for stirring spaghetti sauce, chicken soup, pasta casseroles and other hot dishes. But unlike your grandma's wooden utensils, this large wooden spoon features an updated, improved design. The Calphalon wooden spoon has slanted corners and a flat, straight edge that lets you thoroughly stir every last bit of food. Ingredients that can't be reached with traditional rounded spoons won't escape this large wooden spoon--you can even scrape the bottom of the pot to prevent scorching.
Another great feature of wooden spoons is that you don't need to worry about heat resistance in your pot or pan. You can grip anywhere on the handle confidently, without worrying about it being too hot. The Calphalon wooden spoon is sturdily crafted from high-quality beechwood that will last for years.
